I made #basicincomeworks to share our stories. There are 100+ basic income pilots happening worldwide with more than $300M being spent to learn what happens when you give people unconditional cash?
Rather than have researchers or policy makers tell our stories, I knew we could tell the world ourselves how these basic income experiments are changing our lives and why we think #basicincomeworks
I am digital media producer dedicated to Media That Matters. I’m using my basic income to help any and everyone involved in basic income experiments tell their stories. Together we can make these basic income experiments permanent!

Make the most of your video!
Tech Tips
If you are using a phone to record your video, ensure it is positioned in Vertical format. (the way you would normally hold your phone)
Check to make sure your device is recording in the maximum quality settings possible for that device or application. You can usually find instructions online for setting maximum quality by searching your device/model (HD / 4k / etc.).
For audio, some people choose to use headphones that have built in microphones in order to get better sound quality, you can do an online search of your headphones to determine if they have a built-in microphone. This is a great option.
If you have a microphone, that is awesome!
Try to have a neutral background. For example, you might film yourself in front of a wall with a painting, a room divider, or a window with the curtain closed.
Try to avoid light sources directly behind you, like an open window or bright
lamp for instance.
Natural lighting works really well for these. For instance, you can face an open window for easy lighting. If you have a lighting set up or a ring light you like to use, that’s great too!
